Bethesda, MD, May 18, 2010 – Four outstanding individuals have been selected as finalists for the 2010 Fred Case Remodeling Entrepreneur of the Year Award. The winners were chosen by a panel of judges from Case Design/Remodeling, Inc., Hanley-Wood and Harvard University’s Joint Center for Housing Studies. The Fred Case Remodeling Entrepreneur of the Year Award was created to honor and recognize the entrepreneurial spirit of remodelers and the importance of creativity and innovation to the industry.

The 2010 Fred Case Remodeling Entrepreneur of the Year Award Finalists are:

Gary Marrokal, Marrokal Design & Remodeling, Lakeside, CA

Matt Plaskoff, Matt Plaskoff Construction & One Week Bath, Woodland Hills, CA

Case Design/Remodeling, Inc. Co-Chairman Mark G. Richardson, CR, remarked that the finalists of this year’s Fred Case Remodeling Entrepreneur of the Year Award embrace the entrepreneurial spirit and determination necessary to achieve success in the remodeling arena. “Our finalists have blazed a trail of leadership and innovation throughout their careers, setting the benchmark for other remodeling professionals to follow.”

This year’s finalists were acknowledged in front of their peers and presented with a cash prize at the awards dinner at the Remodeling Leadership Conference in Alexandria, VA. The winner of the 2010 Fred Case Award will receive an additional cash prize and will be announced at the 2010 Remodeling Show in Baltimore, MD in September.

About the Fred Case Remodeling Entrepreneur Of the Year Award
The Fred Case Remodeling Entrepreneur of the Year Award is modeled after the professional achievements of Fred Case, founder and CEO of Case Design/Remodeling, Inc. Fred is credited as the industry pioneer of the design/build concept in the 1970’s and was also instrumental in developing the first certification system for remodelers while chairing the National Education Committee of the National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI).
